Seahawks to hire Carroll in hopes to recruit top players around the country

carroll

The newly acquired Pete Carroll has been known best for his success at USC. He has coached notable players such as Carson Palmer, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, Steve Smith just to name a few.

After the firing of former coach, Jim Mora Jr., hiring Carroll was clearly the best option according to the Seahawks GM. “Carroll knows how to coach, and knows how to attract great players to his program as we’ve seen at USC.. that’s why we hired him. We need to fill in our stadium seats again. We need new attractions! We need another electrifying RB like reggie bush!” he also added.

We advised the GM that the NFL doesn’t recruit players but are drafted according to their draft stock and what other teams are interested in. I can’t say he appeared more aware than shocked of the differences between the NFL and NCAA, but he was still enthusiastic than hopeful about the new coaching change. Best of luck to Seattle and Pete Carroll.

Tim Tebow opts to play in Senior Bowl; hopes to get noticed by media.

tebow

Tim Tebow, Florida Gators QB, has just completed his final year with the Gators, however, this is only the beginning of his hopeful illustrious career in the sport of football.

After playing 4 years at Florida, and getting awarded with accolades like SEC All-Freshman Team, Davey O’Brien Award, Heisman Trophy, 2x Maxwell Award, Sportingnews Player of the year, Harley Award, NCAA QB of the year, ESPN The Magazine Academic All American football team mention, Rivals.com National Offensive Player of the year, First Team All SEC selection per AP, Coaches, and Rivals.com, 2x AP SEC Offensive Player of the Year, AP Player of the year, First team All American by Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America, Walter Camp Football Foundation, Sporting News, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, CBS Sports, College Football News, Rivals.com, and Scout.com, James Sullivan Award, SEC Male athlete of the year, 2x ESPY for Best Male College Athlete, Disney Spirit Award, Manning Award, 2008 SEC Championship game MVP.. you know what hold on.. i have to inhale first.. you know what.. never mind.. you google the damn awards.. back to the story..

Tebow doesn’t feel he has accomplished much and after the decision to play in the Under Armour Senior Bowl, he believes this should now be his chance to shine in the media’s eyes.

“Nobody ever talks about me, I’m always overlooked.. I don’t even think my name has ever appeared in a conversation that i’m not a part of”, Tebow said.

We asked Tebow if he ever watches TV or reads newspapers, because we’ve seen him more than once being mentioned by media, especially during his championship season. Tebow said the media can cause a distraction to him personally and he needs to have his mind clear so he can focus and be effective on the field.

So much for contradiction…

McCoy hoping injury hurts draft status

mccoy

It wasn’t all bad news for Colt McCoy, who injured his right shoulder in the first quarter of the BCS National Championship Game on Thursday. The quarterback is hoping some of the have-not teams at the beginning on the draft will shy away from selecting him because of the injury.

“Everything happens for a reason,” said the Texas star, “maybe God did this so I wont have to play for a team like the Rams, Browns, or Raiders. No offense to them but I’d like to play for a team that has a chance to compete every year.”

Always looking at the positives, McCoy is hoping he’ll be able to start right away on a team that is just a quarterback away from being a playoff-caliber team. “Hopefully I’ll be able to jump in and start right away” said McCoy, “I’m looking forward to the NFL and hope I can help whatever team I play for, I just hope its not St. Louis or Oakland, then my career would be doomed from the start.”

McCoy is expected to be one of the top three quarterbacks drafted in April.

USC to hire Men in Black to help erase 2007-2008 season from our memories

trojansmib

To accompany the latest news development regarding USC and OJ Mayo, USC is rumored to hire the Men in Black to wipe out OJ Mayo’s season from our memories. “Of course, we’ll still know who he is, he uhh.. he’s gonna be some guy that plays for the Grizzlies..” said the campus’ director of athletics on Sunday.

In case the Men in Black have already phased out your memory, this whole thing began after an internal investigation pointed fingers at then head coach Tim Floyd and Rodney Guillory, an affiliate of Floyd’s. Guillory helped in swaying Mayo, a highly sought high school recruit at the time, to join USC through different incentives like $1000 in cash, clothes, life time supply of USC Trojan condoms, etc.

In response to these allegations, USC recently announced it was going to punish themselves on this issue by forfeiting its wins from the 2007- 2008 season. We went on campus to interview several Trojan fans and we did get mixed reviews, believe it or not. The main impression across the campus however was that, even though the wins would be forfeited, all we’d get in return is disgruntled teams that had been beaten and eliminated from tournament contention because of USC. Kevin Oden, one of the students, commented ‘This is a bit funny, why not just penalize everyone instead of interfering with our history and pride? you can wipe away the stats and wins, but you cannot wipe away our memories of a good year in Trojan history!’

The director of athletics heard the campus uproar but wasn’t miffed the slightest about it. ‘Oh, we’ll make sure we wipe away memories too.. ever heard of a movie called “Men in Black”? They’ll should be in shortly with their neuralizers.” I thought this was a joke at first, but then i saw the black car pull up with agents coming out. That’s when I decided our interview staff had to leave promptly. So just in case you’re having a funny feeling of USC deja-vu, now you know. Oh snap! i think one of the agents is here! gotta go!!

Texas Tech’s Adam James put in closet so he can later come out of the closet.

adamjames

Ok, so maybe that pic isn’t Texas Tech’s Adam James, but it was the best picture I could find on google. To be honest, I don’t know what he looks like. Ok, I do know what he looks like, but I’m scared he’s gonna get me fired from the internetz.. I mean he took down former coach, Mike Leach, who am i in the scheme of things?

From constant chatter in the tech locker room before the Alamo bowl, a lot of players believe it was a practical joke played on James. The only reason Adam was put in the closet had nothing to do with his previous concussion but a ploy so they could later say Adam came out of the closet and be politically correct.

Of course, James, was miffed and felt the whole joke was dumb and pointless, so he did what any other football player would do and tell daddy. Some feel this issue was blown out of proportion and that Tech used this issue as a scapegoat to let go of Leach before his contract renewal. As far as what i think? who cares? all i know is that picture of Adam James was found off google images.. go on.. google it.. but just thank that man on http://www.floreena.com/Talents-of-Australian-Country-Music.php for helping us to calling himself Adam James and providing us such a fabulous picture.
