London- Five majors English stars today have stepped forward in support of allowing John Terry to travel to South Africa and continue to be a member of the squad in fears that he will sleep with their wifes while they are away as more and more controversy follows the ex England captain. Traditionally players Wifes and Girlfriends (abbreviated as WAGS) travel with their men during tournaments such as the World Cup but this year England Manager Fabio Capello has issued a new code of conduct uninviting all WAGS to this years tournament. On friday Capello stripped John Terry of his England Captaincy and futher punishment was rumoured but today five major stars including Premier League top scorer and Manchester United striker Wanye Rooney have come to the aid of Terry. ” JT should not be forced to watch us lose in the quarter finals as we always do, he should have to suffer the same abuse that we are going to get when we don’t win the trophy” said an angry Rooney. It is believed though that because of his unattractive physical appearance that Rooney is merely using the backlash the players will receive when coming home as an excuse.
